Russian Homemade Recipies for Beautiful Skin

Being beautiful doesn’t cost much money, rather it costs the daily effort. Majority of Russian women are big believers in homemade recipes for skin care which we pass to each other from generation to generation. In this post, I will share with you the most popular and easy ones for perfect skin. Maybe you will find similarities from your grandma’s recipes. Anyway, I think they are worth to try if you are nonallergic to natural ingredients of course.

1. Ice with Chamomile

Ice with chamomile is a great way to refresh your skin every morning. It helps blood circulation to flow and give every cell of your skin great amount of nutrients. Ice does magic to the skin. To prepare it, make a tea with chamomile, wait till it gets intense and cold, then place it in the fridge in ice cubes.

2. Milk Bath & Smetana Mask (sour cream or yogurt)

Dairy products for skin beauty have been around us forever. Even Cleopatra and other queens loved to have milk baths. So why not to feel yourselves as a queen by doing it at home. For the full body milk bath just buy a big bottle of high-fat milk and pour all of it in your bath, mixing with warm water. This will be more than enough to get all necessary acids and hydrating fats. Your skin will become magically soft due to acids which removes dead cells from the surface of your skin and renourishing it. I personally love doing masks with Smetana.

Smetana Mask acts in a similar manner just it is more comfortable to do it for the face. Smetana is the Russian high fat yogurt or sour cream. Try to get the best possible at your store. Buy just plain and organic, apply it for 10 min on the face then rinse. You will see that your skin became like a skin of a newborn baby. I personally just love this natural mask.

3. Honey Face Mask

Honey has a super high antibacterial and nutritional values. Therefore, it is perfect for people who are dealing with acnes and want to pump the skin with high-quality micronutrients. It will nurish your skin with lots of vitamins and minirals as well as kill bacterias. Also, you can do honey face massage to increase blood circulation. After applying honey on the face, start tapping all around.


4. Sauna

Sauna is a big thing in our culture. If you are healthy person in general, do not miss an opportunity by regularly visiting the sauna. Just sitting there for 5-10 minutes tremendously will improve your skin by huge detoxifying features. Moreover, by increasing blood circulation you will get rid of some fat and cellulite. I personally like to do it in the evening after good workout.

5. Apple Vinegar

We use apple vinegar to create our own face toner. It has a natural fruit acidity; therefore, helps to remove dead cells and make your face tone more even. Also, you can use it for the hair to make them shinier and healthier. Instruction: Mix in a little bottle, apple vinegar with natural water (the vinegar should be around 10%). When your face already clean, pour a small amount on cotton pad and go over the face. Do it in the morning and evening. For hair with the same ratio 1:10, rinse hair and scalp after washing.
